My TBR pile is a monstrosity and only ever seems to be growing no matter how much I read. I have a list of about 50+ books that I want to focus on this year. These are probably my top five.
Back in college, I used to go to the theatre every week to catch the new releases at midnight. Now that I have less time and want to save money rather than watch movies I’m only sort of into, my movie going experience has shifted. Now I pick movies I really want to see and make a bigger deal out of it (like going to Cinebistro). There are a few movies this year I’m really excited for but Continue reading
I’m terrified of getting a tattoo. Not because I’m worried about the pain or scared of needles but because it is a HUGE commitment. I always question if what I want to get will still be something I’ll want permanently attached to my body for the rest of my life or if it’ll still look good when I’m older. I can’t help but get slightly panicked every time I get close to seriously considering one. Which is probably why I refuse to get one until I get a specific one that I have yet to finish planning to perfection (I don’t know if it’ll ever be what I want it to be ’cause then I’d have no excuse not to get it). My boyfriend has several tattoo, most of which are geeky. He’s got 2 Halo tattoos, 2 Mass Effect tattoos, and a Gears of War tattoo, just to name a few. He always jokes that one day he’ll get me tattooed but thankfully he knows I’m hesitant and so he doesn’t push it. If I DID get tattoos (and I have a pretty decent sized list of one’s I’d like to maybe get eventually) then these would definitely be on the top of my list. Continue reading
So I’m gonna try to do Beauty and the Bookshelf‘s Get Up Offa That Slump challenge just to get used to posting content more regularly (already failing as this should have been up yesterday). The first challenge is to do an interview… with yourself. Soooooo this should be interesting.
So we’re doing this huh?
It’s totally weird though right?
Well I guess let’s start with a simple one. What’s your name?

T Minus 52 Weeks
The last couple of weeks have been super duper stressful and just all around unpleasant but we are finally all moved in! It took a lot longer to move in than we expected because after we got our keys and started getting everything over to the new place we realized just how much was wrong. The AC was broken (which in South Florida is a travesty, even in the winter), the freezer didn’t freeze, we realized there was a garbage disposal that didn’t work, we didn’t have hot water… the list goes on and on. It took over two weeks to coordinate all the maintenance and finally get everything livable and ready to move in. And then we had to do the actual moving. All in all, not fun, but a good learning experience I guess.
Since then, Continue reading
My stress level that is. About an hour after last weeks post everything kinda came crashing down, along with my optimism. The association did contact us… to let us know our paperwork was not properly filled out and could not be approved until it was fixed. The paperwork that was incorrect? Completed by the landlord. So we hustled to get it all in order and got it back to them within two days time. They told us we would likely get contacted before the end of the week. It is now late on Tuesday afternoon and still nothing. We’ve even tried contacting them to no avail. So all we can do now is sit and wait and hope. I’m really hoping Continue reading
